Raj Niwas:Dholpur on my Hit-list!

When we talk about a Heritage Property our mind automatically connects it to a palace like Property: Absolutely Grand and Luxurious with Lush Greenery, varieties of trees andconstant calls of birds, one is surrounded by nature and its beauty all around. The red sandstone of Dholpur cannot be missed as you enter the town and get the first views of the palace. We stayed in Raj Niwas Palace for two nights. Its an amazing place to stay in Dholpur. After 4 hrs drive from Delhi, close to Agra, we finally checked in at the Raj Niwas Palace in Dholpur. Yess!! I finally found something that was worth staying a little far from the hustle and bustle Delhi and its annoying Traffic. This place is also a heaven for somebody who loves Nature or birdwatchers with peacocks, lapwings, woodpeckers, koels being a constant site in the property.

Thats a picture below of the Walkthrough towards the 19’s Palace Property!

We now checked in and moved to our lovely Pool Villa. The beautiful room comprised of a living area, bedroom, very spacious bathroom and a super spacious private sitting out area with a huge pool. The rooms were Pool facing which was another plus. Picture of the room and the pool area is below.

The front desk has been prompt and very helpful and the property is absolutely spectacular. Located among Huge gardens/lawns. Huge restaurant with glass front overlooking the lawns and gardens, so you can enjoy your Breakfast and Lunch with a beautiful View! The Staff is very warm and friendly and makes a genuine effort to make their guests feel comfortable. Very pleasant and helpful staff who takes pride in working at this Heritage Palace. They literally custom made the menu for us.Loved the decor of the dining area, reception and bar

Very tasty buffet breakfasts, Lunch and dinners.

Isnt this Huge restaurant with glass front overlooking the lawns and gardens looking absolutely spell bounding, so you can enjoy your Breakfast and Lunch with a beautiful Natural beauty outside.

We visited Chambal River and Chambal safari which are very near from the hotel in this Uber cute Open jeep.

This place was somewhere before the Chambal Safari, we could manage to stop by and take a picture.

This the Beautiful Chambal river.Do not miss the boat ride on the Chambal river with regular sightings of crocs, alligators, turtles etc. It is an absolute bucket list things to be done in Dholpur. This is the boat tour of the nearby Chambal River, where we saw some different species of birds and two distant ghariyal (alligator)very fortunately . The area around the river as you can see in the pictures below is beautiful.

Took this shot below, while i was on the boat!!

Now comes the last and the most beautiful part of the Rajniwas Palace: The main building was built for the visit of the heir to the British throne in 1878 and is a magnificent building. It has some fascinating rooms, some of which are rather abandoned these days. The heritage suites in this building are absolutely beautiful. Below are pictures of the main Building along with the fascinating rooms.

Now heading to the Majestic rooms that were my absolute favourite!!

Also a special thanks to your Travel-Makeup partner: The Bodyshop. Absolutely Loved their Jacqueline’s Collection for being the perfect travel partner. The Clay Base stayed on for upto good 6 hours without any touch up while Lip glosses were really moisturising and also stayed on for good 4 hours with a little bit of nibling. Their eyeshadow sticks are an absolute bomb and does’nt need an eye primer before applying it. Their Fiber Lash Mascara being my favourite, as its the only product that i cant leave my home without, it gives an illusion of fake eyelashes, which i absolutely love because it make the eyelashes lengthy and full of volume.

Coming back to the Experience at the Rajniwas Palace. Overall a very good experience and highly recommended for a weekend trip or Small Getaway or a staycation. The palace is literally a heaven for morning walkers and also provides immense opportunities for photography. All in all, a beautiful heritage property with Modern Amenities. Its also highly recommended place for Destination Weddings as the capacity and surrounding area is beautiful. I rate this Property a 4.5/5. Its Definitely a Hit List for me.

Wait for my next Blog to see what all did i do in Seoul till then Adios !!
